Top Five Trends of 2010:

Over the Knee Boots:
I'm not going to get into the trend because I HATE IT. however, here is one celebrity who i think worked the look. Lady Gaga. Although she got a bit of a bad rap for these boots, i think that she looks good in whatever she wears. You've got to give her credit for not caring what people think. But now I've gotten of topic! Back to the list...

Chunky Knits:
I'm a fan of this trend! You can throw it on over jeans, shorts, tights, a baggy shirt or a tight shirt, a dress or a skirt. I found some really affordable ones at Forever 21 and Abercrombie and Fitch in different styles, even vests and hats.
Leather and Studs:
love lOvE LOVE. if you can avoid looking like a motorcyclist that is. But I also believe that this is a trend that's really versatile and you can have fun with it. At H&M, they're featuring a cobalt blue leather jacket. Everywhere you look there's brown, carmel (there's a difference!), black, and red jackets. There's even neon ones. My way to work this trend is by wearing leather gladiators/heels with studs. It's understated but makes a big statement.
Asymmetrical Shirts:
This is not a trend for everybody. In the words of Robin, "Jesus, just choose one! Either both shoulders or two. One is just not natural!" I'm sorry Robin, but I disagree. At the Golden Globes several stars rocked this trend. However, on a certain shopping excursion recently i tried on a one-shouldered dress. It sagged competely on one side! But kudos to those who can wear one, like my idol Michelle Obama.
Ripped Denim:
OH god. My personal favorite on this list, I think that ripped jeans are some of the best and versatile things you can have in a closet. For example, ripped skinny jeans with a blazer and ballet flats? Mmhhmmm. Ripped jeans can make an outfit preppy-chic, rocker-sweet, or many more adjectives.
